Richard March Hoe Emeritus Professor of Psychology and Education, Teachers College, Columbia University

Congratulations Dr. Liu, Dr. Morris, and Dr. Gordon!

In addition to the individual awards, CSES members will be recognizing Class Action (http://www.classism.org) as an organization conducting research on SES and applying that research at the community level. Class Action is a Massachusetts based organization whose mission is to inspire action to end classism by raising awareness, facilitating cross-class dialogue, supporting cross-class alliances, and working with others to promote economic justice.

Award Presentations

The awards will be presented during the SES Network Meeting at the 2008 APA Convention in Boston, MA. This is a great opportunity to meet recipients of the Inaugural CSES Leadership Awards as well as mingle with members of CSES, members of the SES Network, and other colleagues to share ideas, raise questions, and identify activities and critical issues related to socioeconomic status. The SES Network Meeting will be held on Friday, August 15 from 3:00-4:00pm at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel. We hope you will be able to join us!
