Award for those who have made significant contributions to the understanding of socioeconomic status and the lives and wellbeing of low-income groups

Jubilee Jobs

Each year during the APA Convention, the Committee on Socioeconomic Status (CSES) recognizes the outstanding achievements of emerging and distinguished psychologists and friends of psychology who have made significant contributions to the understanding of socioeconomic status and the lives and wellbeing of low-income groups.  This year’s winner of the Organization Award for Outstanding Service in the Field of Socioeconomic Status is Jubilee Jobs. For nearly 30 years, Jubilee Jobs has been a place of hope and support for disadvantage job-seekers throughout metropolitan Washington. The mission of Jubilee Jobs is to prepare men and women to re-enter the workforce and connect with marketplace jobs. Their strategy breaks down the isolation of unemployment and replaces it with the productivity and the support of community. Congratulations on your history of service to the DC Metro Area!
