The CWP Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology expands to include mid-career clinical and consulting women psychologists

The Institute empowers, prepares and supports women psychologists as leaders to promote positive changes

Since its inaugural meeting in 2008, the Committee on Women in Psychology (CWP) Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology (LIWP) has served mid-career women psychologists in academic and academic medicine settings.  As the Institute prepares for its 2011-2012 program year, the Executive Committee has expanded the program to include mid-career women psychologists in clinical and clinical consulting settings.

The overall mission of the LIWP is to empower, prepare and support women psychologists as leaders to promote positive changes in institutional and organizational life and to increase the diversity, number, and effectiveness of women psychologists as leaders. The program’s mission supports APA’s goal to advance psychology as a science and profession and as a means of promoting health, education, and human welfare.
