Conference Awards
- Early Career Achievement Award. NEW to the 2008 Conference, this award honors young researchers and practitioners who have made exceptional early career contributions to the science and/or practice of occupational health psychology. Individuals who received doctoral degrees during and since 2000 are eligible for this award.
- Lifetime Career Achievement Award. This award honors researchers and practitioners whose careers are characterized by a series of distinguished contributions that have significantly advanced the field of occupational health psychology.
- Best JOHP Article Award. This award recognizes the best article published in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. Articles published in 2006 and 2007 will be considered for the 2008 Conference award.
- Best Practices Evaluation Competition. This competition recognizes outstanding evaluations of “best practices” that partner researchers with industry and/or labor to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses and to promote safety and health at work.
- Best Student Research Competition This competition highlights outstanding contributions made by graduate students to the growing field of Occupational Health Psychology.

Nature of the Awards
The awards include:
a) recognition at the conference during Opening Plenary session of the Work, Stress and Health Conference;
b) waived conference registration fees for winners of all awards and finalists for the competitions; and
c) reimbursement for one night of lodging for the competition winners.
