The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) last week announced that $6.3 million in grants has been made available to institutions of higher education for suicide prevention.

These Campus Suicide Prevention Grants are authorized through the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act. APA advocated for the creation of this program and continues to strongly support as a central part of its advocacy agenda.
