PI-GRO Resources for National Health Care Reform

APA believes that health care reform provides a critical opportunity to ensure that our nation has the appropriate infrastructure to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of individuals across the lifespan. As part of a coordinated, APA-wide effort, the Public Interest Government Relations Office worked diligently over the last several months in collaboration with other APA Directorates to develop a variety of legislative resources that articulate and reflect APA’s policy recommendations for health care reform. APA’s Health Care Reform Priorities is the product of this collaboration.

In addition, PI-GRO has taken the lead in developing additional Health Care Reform resources on Integrated Health Care, Disease Prevention, Health Promotion, and Wellness, and Disparities in Mental Health Status and Mental Health Care. Furthermore, PI-GRO worked closely with the Education Government Relations Office in developing information materials on Health Professions Training and Education.
