Yasmin Nilofer Farooqi, PhD, is a professor at the Department of Psychology & Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She got her MA and PhD degrees from Temple University, Pennsylvania, and did her postdoctoral work at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has been an International Affiliate Member of APA since 1984. She has presented her research papers at 109 international conferences, congresses, and workshops, and she has had 56 articles published in national and international journals, all reflecting her clinical and counseling work on understanding and preventing psychological disorders and violence. Currently, she is a consulting editor for Journal of Psychology in Africa.
