PsycEXTRA Fact Sheet

PsycEXTRA is a gray literature database that supplies clinicians, information professionals, policy-makers, researchers, and consumers with a wide variety of credible information in psychology, behavioral science, and health. Most of the coverage is material written for professionals and disseminated outside of peer-reviewed journals. This information includes publications issued by private research institutes, psychology labs, corporations, scientific societies, disorder-related organizations, government agencies, and more.

PsycEXTRA is different from PsycINFO in coverage and format. There is no overlap in coverage; no scholarly journals are included in PsycEXTRA. In addition to abstracts, citations, and full indexing, PsycEXTRA also includes full text for many of the records. PsycEXTRA also links to content owners' web sites.
