ACF, an agency of the U.S. Health and Human Services, administers the following programs designed to assist families:
- Administration on Developmental Disabilities
The Administration on Developmental Disabilities grants support programs that protect the rights and promote the self-sufficiency of Americans with developmental disabilities and their families.
- Children's Bureau
The Bureau provides grants to states, tribes and communities to operate a range of child welfare services including child protective services (child abuse and neglect), family preservation and support, foster care, adoption assistance and independent living.
