34th Annual Ray’s Race 5K Run and Walk at the 2012 APA Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla.

Corporate sponsors are needed for the annual race in honor of former APA CEO Raymond D. Fowler, PhD

Running Psychologists, a section of Div. 47 (Exercise and Sport Psychology), seeks sponsors for the 34th Annual Ray’s Race 5K Run and Walk at the APA Annual Convention on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. Ray’s Race was named in honor of Ray Fowler, PhD, former APA CEO and founder of the Running Psychologists in 1979. The division encourages runners and walkers of all ages and levels of ability to participate in the race.

Corporate sponsorship donations of $1,000 will be used to pay for race expenses such as management, city permit, prizes and refreshments. Sponsorship recognition includes: 

  • Name and logo of sponsor printed on the back of the race T-shirt 

  • Sponsor listed prominently on the race registration announcements that will be distributed to all attendees at the convention, included in the Division 47 newsletter, sent to all previous race participants via email and displayed in online registration 

  • Sponsor thanked on a banner displayed at the Division Services booth, located near the convention registration area, as well as at the postawards ceremony 

  • Free race registration for one sponsoring company representative
