APA’s Board of Professional Affairs seeks public and member comments on its recommendation to endorse "Structure and Function of an Interdisciplinary Team for Persons with Acquired Brain Injury" (23B) (PDF, 418KB). APA’s Divs. 40 and 22, as well as the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, collaborated on and approved the joint statement before submitting it to APA.

With strong support from APA governance, the board recommends that APA endorse the document, which it says will advance critical roles and concepts in health care service delivery as well as focus on relevant issues and settings in health care.

Comments on the topic’s relevance to optimal health care delivery and the usefulness of the document’s professional guidance are encouraged. Submit comments online by July 25, 2012.
