Making psychological research and resources more accessible to practitioners and the public

APA’s Office of Publications and Databases expanded access to its databases and published a landmark reference book, ensuring availability of important psychological information.

APA and the Veterans Health Administration expanded access to APA databases to all 23 Veterans Regional Integrated Service Networks. Each of the regional networks includes hospitals, outpatient clinics and veterans’ centers. The new agreement expands the access to PsycINFO® and PsycARTICLES® previously provided to some medical centers to all 136 VA facilities nationwide and includes PsycBOOKS® and PsycTESTS®.

The APA Dictionary of Statistics and Research Methods, released in September, stands as one of the most important APA reference publications since the release of the full-scale APA Dictionary of Psychology. The new work defines terms in two interrelated areas underlying psychological science, statistics and research methods. The dictionary provides more than 4,000 entries with four appendixes that include common abbreviations and statistical symbols.

APA PsycNET subscribers and members of the public can now access and search APA’s databases with a free mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The app allows users to view, filter, email and export search results, save search queries as well as navigate through and view individual results.
