APA, together with the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME), has begun the process of revising the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing. Last published in 1999, following a 5-year revision effort, the Standards are considered the authoritative source on the development and validation of educational and psychological tests and assessments.
