National Multicultural Conference & Summit Seeks Science Proposals

The theme of the next National Multicultural Conference and Summit (NMCS), which will be held in Seattle, Washington, on January 27-28, 2011, is “Unification through Diversity: Bridging Psychological Science and Practice in the Public Interest.”

The goal of the 2011 NMCS is “to foster collaboration among psychological scientists and practitioners in order to promote the psychological well-being of historically marginalized people.”  The biannual event, which has drawn as many as 900 attendees in previous years, is supported by a variety of APA divisions and other psychological organizations.

The conference organizers are seeking proposals from scientists for symposia, workshops, and posters (see call for proposals).  The deadline for submissions is May 14, 2010.
