APA seeks comments on proposed Prevention Science & Practice Guidelines
The Board of Professional Affairs of the American Psychological Association (APA) invites comments from APA members and the general public on the draft version of “Prevention Science and Practice Guidelines.”
The proposed Guidelines, which have been produced by a work group composed of APA members representing several divisions, are recommendations for psychological best practices in prevention across the areas of practice, research, education, and social action. To be adopted as APA policy, the Guidelines will ultimately have to be approved by the Council of Representatives.
A website has been established for accessing the draft and submitting comments. The deadline for submitting comments is July 15, 2011.
