APF/COGDOP Graduate Research Scholarships in Psychology

In addition to its own awards program, the Directorate administers the APF/COGDOP Graduate Research Scholarships in Psychology program, sponsored by the American Psychological Foundation (APF) in cooperation with the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (COGDOP). This scholarship program includes the Ruth G. and Joseph D. Matarazzo Scholarship of $3,000, the Clarence J. Rosecrans Scholarship of $2,000, and several additional scholarships of $1,000 each.

The purpose of these awards is to assist graduate students with research costs. Graduate students at any level may apply. Each application form for this award must be approved by the department chair, to verify that the student is in good standing with the department and that the department is a member of COGDOP (see the application form for details). Applications are distributed to COGDOP member departments each spring and the APA Science Directorate begins accepting nominations as early as May 1. Application deadline: June 15.
