2009 APA Advanced Statistical Training in Psychology To be considered for ASTP, you must submit your application form electronically no later than February 25, 2009. You must complete the application form online – we cannot accept forms that are printed and mailed. Please note: you MUST complete the form all in one sitting. You may not save it and return to it at a later time. We suggest having your answers ready before filling out the application online. Ethnicity Are you a person with a disability? How are you financing your college education? Please list any financial aid, work/study, etc. Based on the ASTP program description, under what categories do you feel you qualify? List the Statistics and Research Methods courses you have taken. Describe your research experience (laboratory, field, literature review, etc.) in any academic discipline. (Research experience is not required to attend ASTP) List any academic honors or awards you have received. Why are you interested in ASTP, and what do you hope to gain from attending the program? Are you planning to apply to graduate school in psychology? If yes, which field would you like to pursue and why? If not, what are your immediate and longer-range post-baccalaureate plans? Of the psychology courses you have taken, name the two you have enjoyed most and tell us why. What do you find most exciting about statistics and research methods? What are your strengths and weaknesses in statistics?
