The Board of Scientific Affairs' Committee on Scientific Awards (COSA) administers the APA Scientific Awards program for outstanding contributions to the science of psychology and nominates on behalf of APA prominent psychologists for awards bestowed by other scientific organizations. Awards include three APA Distinguished Scientific Contribution Awards, one APA Distinguished Scientific Award for the Applications of Psychology, and up to four APA Distinguished Scientific Award for an Early Career Contribution to Psychology. Nominations are solicited for awardees in all categories by a general call each year, but may be submitted at any time to the staff liaison. Committee Members Chair, Kevin R.
