The theme of our eighth annual Science Leadership Conference was "Act Locally: Promoting Psychological Science in Our Academic Institutions and Local Communities." The goal of this conference was to develop and share innovative ideas for (a) strengthening research and training in psychological science within our colleges and universities, and (b) increasing the understanding and application of psychological science in the local communities to which we belong.
