Supporting & Advancing the Careers of Scientists
December 1 - 2, 2006
The theme of our second annual conference focused on supporting and advancing the careers of psychological scientists. The program addressed a broad range of issues within that framework, including attracting and nurturing early career psychological scientists, the changing nature of the academy (e.g., the tenure system), mentoring, as well as many of the challenges currently facing the field, such as IRBs, open access to research publications, federal funding priorities, and public attacks on psychological science.
