What is PsycCRITIQUES?
PsycCRITIQUES is a searchable database of book reviews in psychology, which replaced the print journal Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books. In each weekly release, PsycCRITIQUES delivers approximately 10–12 reviews of psychological books, most from the current copyright year. For more information, see PsycCRITIQUES.
PsycCRITIQUES is available to APA members at no additional charge for subscribers of the APA PsycNET GOLD and APA PsycNET PLATINUM electronic products. Members can also subscribe to PsycCRITIQUES via the electronic journals order form accessible via MyAPA.
Short-term and pay-per-view access is available through APA PsycNET Direct. This platform provides 24-hour access and downloading privileges to PsycINFO, PsycCRITIQUES, and PsycEXTRA, as well as pay-per-view access to content articles and chapters in PsycARTICLES and PsycBOOKS.
Please visit the Access and Pricing for Individuals page for complete descriptions of all electronic access products offered by APA. We recommend that you check your library first. Your library may subscribe to PsycCRITIQUES.
