The American Psychological Association (APA), in collaboration with the Ontario Science Centre, has developed an exciting, hands-on museum exhibition designed to introduce the general public to the breadth, depth, and diversity of more than 100 years of psychological research. The exhibit asks questions, directs visitors through experiments, and displays information about psychological concepts and the history of psychology. Visitors get to test theories and solve problems having to do with such phenomena as thinking, remembering, feeling, perception, and childhood development. This video offers viewers an opportunity to "walk" through the exhibition and experience some of its many activities and unique experiments. The video demonstrates a participatory approach to understanding psychological research; documents the enthusiastic response of people of all ages to this innovative, hands-on format; illustrates applications of psychological research to everyday life; and offers much more. Teachers and students will find this video fascinating and informative.
