There were 10 APA-accredited programs at various Argosy University locations when the sponsoring institution ceased operations. Several currently-accredited programs offered to accept transfer students from Argosy programs, and the CoA at its April 2019 meeting reviewed proposals and approved “accredited, inactive” status for five additional programs that were not previously accredited. As former Argosy students matriculate into new doctoral programs, it will be important that transferring students are reflected in the Annual Report Online (ARO) and in public disclosure data, consistent with the requirements of IR C-26 D.
There are two types of programs currently receiving students from Argosy:
- Pathway 1: Programs that were APA-accredited prior to the closure of Argosy University that are accepting transfers.
- Pathway 2: Programs granted initial “Accredited, inactive” status to teach-out Argosy University students. These programs were not previously accredited.
The information below will guide programs accepting Argosy transfers as they submit information in the ARO and post public disclosure data. Information is separated according to the transfer/teach-out pathways described above and on the accreditation website:
| Pathway 1: Programs that were APA-accredited prior to the closure of Argosy University that are accepting transfers | |
| Annual Report Online | IR C-26 D, Disclosure of Education/Training Outcomes |
|
1. All new transfer students enrolled during the 2018-2019 academic year must be entered into the ARO as first-year students, regardless of their standing (e.g., ABI, ABD, etc.).
2. All new faculty contributing to the program in 2018-2019, including those previously employed by Argosy University, should be reported in the ARO.
|
All transfer students from Argosy University should be reflected in the program’s IR C-26 D public disclosures. |
| Pathway 2: Programs granted “Accredited, inactive” status to teach-out Argosy University students that were not previously accredited | |
| Annual Report Online | IR C-26 D, Disclosure of Education/Training Outcomes |
|
1. All students enrolled during the 2018-2019 academic year must be entered into the ARO as first-year students, regardless of their standing (e.g., ABI, ABD, etc.).
2. All faculty should be reported in the ARO.
|
Programs on inactive status are not required to post IR C-26 D public disclosure data, and this section does not apply to Pathway 2 programs. |
Questions about data reporting should be directed to the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation via email or by phone at (202) 336-5979.
