Opt-in to APA e-newsletters, e-messages, and research alerts

New opt-in feature lets APA members choose which APA e-newsletters, e-messages and research alerts to receive

APA members can now tailor their email publications and messages from APA thanks to a new broadcast email platform launched this week. Tools in the platform allow members to opt in or opt out of types and topics of broadcast emails, electronic newsletters and research alerts.*

The new platform allows members to:

  • tailor the communications they receive from APA

  • receive alerts when APA publishes new research on topics of interest

  • select from a complete listing of free communications products, including newsletters (choose to receive (opt in) or not receive (opt out) products by checking or unchecking boxes)

  • use one email address for receipt of all notices, including those announcing new issues of newsletters (This prevents duplication, keeps email from going to multiple email addresses and ensures when you update your email address, your communications go to the updated address.)

Members can use the new platform to choose to receive the following newsletters:

Please note the Psychology Teacher Network newsletter is included in this list. All current PTN subscribers have been automatically included in the opt-in platform to continue receiving the PTN; new teacher affiliates must now opt in to receive PTN.

Members can also choose to receive the following magazines and news:

The new platform also allows members to set up alerts that announce when APA publishes research on a topic of interest. Users can select from pre-established alert topics such as addictions, aging, depression, and psychotherapy or create their own.

Visit MyAPA to opt in now.

*All members will automatically continue to receive dues and subscription reminder emails.
