Description
The workshop will address the psychological ramifications of abusive conduct in the workplace. Current research suggests clinicians do not report competency in supporting clients who report problems in how they are treated in their employment. Participants in this session will explore factors related to increased risk of mistreatment at work. Additionally, the increased rates of negative and detrimental work experienced by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ members will be reviewed. Intake and therapeutic support strategies will be identified to better meet the needs of clients requesting assistance on the mental health consequences of workplace problems.
Learning Objectives

- Develop additional clinical strategies to address the mental health needs of those subjected to abusive conduct at work.
