With the focus of health-care reform on integrated service delivery, it is more important than ever for psychologists to be active participants in the whole health of their patients. Electronic health records (EHRs) enable content from all health-care providers to be shared as needed across practice settings, which facilitates more integrated care.

APA's Practice Directorate has created a video to introduce psychologists to basic terminology related to EHRs, dispel common myths about EHR systems and underscore the benefits for psychologists of using the systems in their professional practices.
