This chart illustrates the declining trend in GRE requirements for psychology master’s degree programs from 2020–2021 through 2023–2024. In 2020–2021, 36–37% of programs required GRE Quantitative and Verbal scores, but by 2023–2024, only 5% did. GRE Writing requirements also dropped significantly, from 28% in 2020–2021 to just 3% in 2023–2024. Overall, the data highlights a steady move away from GRE requirements in psychology master’s admissions.
