This line graph shows the number of psychology doctorate degrees awarded between 2014 and 2023, divided into total degrees, health service psychology degrees, and research degrees. Overall, the number of total doctorate degrees remained fairly stable, starting at 6,815 in 2014 and ending slightly higher at 7,194 in 2023, with minor fluctuations throughout the decade. Health service psychology degrees held steady around 3,825 in 2014 and ended at 3,895 in 2023, with little overall change. Research degrees began at 2,990 in 2014 and rose modestly to 3,299 in 2023, showing gradual growth.

Overall trend: Psychology doctorate degrees have been relatively stable from 2014 to 2023, with only small increases over time. Growth was most noticeable in research degrees, while health service psychology degrees stayed nearly level.
