We have teamed up with Kudos, a service that makes it easy for our journals and books authors to explain, share, and measure the performance of their work.

Kudos is straightforward and free to use.

According to independent research, proactively explaining and sharing work via Kudos can lead to 23% higher growth in readership.

Kudos makes it easy to broaden the reach and track the impact of one's publication, providing access to a range of performance metrics, including downloads, citations, and altmetrics.

We asked our authors about their experiences with Kudos. Read on to learn how and why authors use the service.

There are two ways authors can sign up for Kudos. Registering and adding plain language summary takes just 10 minutes.

• Upon manuscript publication, APA authors receive a Kudos welcome email with a link to their personalized dashboard. While on their dashboard, authors can claim their various publications and begin explaining, sharing, and measuring the impact of their work.
• During manuscript submission, APA Journals authors also have the option to create a Kudos summary via Editorial Manager and are prompted to set up a profile upon manuscript acceptance. The summary is subsequently connected to the profile.

With Kudos, authors are in control of how their work is presented to the media and general public.
