In geometric shapes and bright hues, three birds perch on a wire "chirping about the day" at the start of Mullady's story, which delivers a missive about kindness and honesty…sound advice for helping kids to cope with hurtful words and conflict.
—Publishers Weekly
Mullady's valuable lesson sneaks up on readers, delivered with appropriate gentleness. Reed's cute birds are right in line. An afterword discusses hurt feelings, conflict, and gossip. Genuinely sweet.
