On November 14, 2023, APA welcomed all members to join in celebrating the association's achievements in 2023 and its plans for 2024 as it continues its commitment to dismantling systemic racism and advancing equity and inclusion.
APA President, Dr. Thema S. Bryant, PhD, led a discussion surrounding the implementation of the Racial Equity Action Plan and other EDI-focused initiatives positioned to impact APA, the field of psychology, and society. The APA also honored special guest Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child for utilizing her platform to raise awareness of mental health by sharing her own experiences with depression.
