When and where

Friday, August 7, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Room 204B, Level Two, Walter E. Washington Convention Center

What to expect

The purpose of this meeting is to provide time for program chairs and president-elects to meet to discuss your division’s presidential theme for next year, which will influence your 2027 division programming. This will also be an opportunity to network with program chairs and president-elects from other APA divisions to discuss potential program collaborations.

Divisions represented in the APA Membership Pavilion

Division membership is an important part of one’s APA membership, so APA divisions will be included in the APA Membership Pavilionopens in new window (Booth 525 in the Solutions Center) at APA 2026. The Division Engagement Office will bring its collection of name badge ribbons and a promotional piece that lists all the divisions and directs attendees to the Join an APA Division page to find information. Staff will be available to answer questions and to meet with division leaders as needed. In addition, people may join and renew division memberships in the registration area.

CODAPAR Networking Breakfast

The breakfast will take place on Saturday, August 8, from 8:30–9:30 a.m. in Salon 15, Level Two of the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC. Emails have gone out, and each division is encouraged to send their president-elect or, if unavailable, another elected member of the presidential trio or division board to attend. Deadline to RSVP: July 7.

Division programming on convention site

Divisions can provide information so that we can link to their programs on the APA 2026 site. This helps with tracking down information for attendees who are looking for something division specific. See division programs for APA 2026 for details. Templates for flyers are in the Division Marketing Toolkit along with graphics and promotional language. Deadline: July 15.

Meet with associate general counsel and Division Engagement liaison

This is a great opportunity to discuss legal questions, division governance, to better understand how APA Legal or Division Engagement can be helpful, or simply to put faces to names for the upcoming year. Associate General Counsel ImHan Kim has sent invitations to division presidential trios to schedule time during APA 2026. Division Engagement liaisons may also join as availability allows. Deadline: July 22.

If you have any questions, please contact your Division Engagement liaison.
