National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration of the power of volunteerism. APA recognizes the many psychologists who give their time, talent, and expertise to advance our association, our society, and our field.

Please take a moment during that week to let your division volunteers know their contributions make a lasting impact in ways big and small.

A few ideas to show your appreciation include:

  • A short message to your volunteers. This can be an email, short video message, or a post in your APA Community group. Please remember to note some of the division's accomplishments over the past year.
  • Share your experience as a volunteer. Share a photo and your story as a division volunteer.
  • Spotlight volunteers. Share shoutouts for individuals or groups of volunteers. This could be a group that accomplished a goal this past year, or an individual who held an event that went well.

We're grateul for everything you give to psychology and to APA. Thank you!

If you need further ideas, please contact your division's Division Engagement Liaison.
