Among the many potential benefits of the APA Community are increased division visibility and seamless membership participation, making it a resource worth revisiting.
Below are community basics to get the most out of your experience:
- My profile: Make sure to add your profile picture. This can be a professional headshot from APA 2025 or a nice selfie. Take a moment to create your summary to let other APA Community members know a little more about you.
- My settings: Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner to see the “my settings” arrow. Here you can find your way to the privacy and notification settings. We recommend looking through both to make sure you are receiving the communications you desire and feel comfortable with on this platform.
- APA announcements: A dedicated tab featuring current research, content, events, and important updates from APA.
- Forums: Forums are an opportunity to create a space for a specific topic or event. You can find “forums” on the main list, to the right of the “directory.” In your division groups, you can also create your own forums, from events to specific member groups. Just click “new discussion” to get started.
