Each year, APA offers divisions the opportunity to include their slates of candidates for election on the APA Council representatives election ballot. Divisions may opt to conduct their own elections with the exception of APA Council representative(s), which must be done by APA. APA members receive only those slates for divisions in which they hold membership (as noted on the members' APA database record).
APA sends the ballot to all voting members of APA (Fellows, Members, and voting Associates and eligible Graduate Student Members) as well as any affiliate or student members who have voting privileges.
- Voting members from each division will be emailed their ballot on April 15 or the next business day (April 15, 2026).
- Voting members can always access their ballot from their MyAPA member profile page using the link titled “Division and SPTA Election Ballot.”
- Voters can read candidate statements that have been submitted by clicking on any name on their ballot.
- Weekly reminder emails will be sent to those who haven’t yet voted through the end of the election.
- Voting closes 30 days after the start or the next business day (May 14, 2026).
