The Interdivisional Grant Program funds proposals for collaborative projects sponsored by two or more APA divisions. The purpose of the program is to support joint activities that enhance the work, interests or goals of two or more divisions. The Committee on Division/APA Relations (CODAPAR) of the American Psychological Association manages the program.

Funds awarded for 2022 winners ranged from $2000 to $8475.

Awarding student advocates: An equity, diversity, and inclusion initiative

“On behalf of Division 40 wins (Women in Neuropsychology) and Division 22 Section 2, we would like to once again give thanks and appreciation to those that approved and supported this interdivisional grant. Through this grant, our divisions were able to thoughtfully come together and support four students/trainees in their diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Further, our division members were diligent in strengthening our interdivisional collaboration, and sought to engage in new projects, as well as work to continue this grant moving forward.”

– Katlin Schultz, PsyD, President of Division 22 Section 2: Women’s Issues in Rehabilitation Psychology, and Katherine Bangen, PhD, ABPP-CN, Liaison Officer, Women in Neuropsychology

Fostering policy-relevant psychological research

“The goal of fostering policy-relevant psychological research was to create webinars and toolkits that would address important questions that psychologists at all levels (faculty, practitioners, advisors to policy-makers and students have about whether and how to do and/or use psychological research that can inform policy). We addressed these issues in five webinars offered in 2023, with experts drawn from six collaborating divisions (9,8,27,35, 44, and 45). We also created toolkits to support psychologists’ efforts beyond the webinars. All of these materials are available on this website.”

– Abigail J. Stewart, Past President, Division 9, and Anila Balkissoon, Executive Director, Division 9

The deadline for the next round of funding from the Interdivisional Grant Program is September 15, 2025. Find complete information related to submissions at Interdivisional Grant Program.
