Why did you join the division?

Kathryn R. Glodowski, PhD I joined Division 25 in 2016 when I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe Meyer Institute in the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. My fellowship supervisor, Nicole Rodriguez, PhD, suggested becoming a member for collaboration opportunities within behavior analysis and across psychology. I became more involved as Division 25’s program chair (2020–2023) and currently as the membership chair to continue efforts of connection and collaboration.

What issues do you think will be front and center for behavior analysts in the coming year(s)?

I think there are several areas of focus. I think we will be continuing efforts to improve diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in our services, education, and research. I also think we will be navigating how to ethically use various artificial intelligence products and how to integrate value-based care into our services.

What is your division working on now?

Emily Baxter, PhD, recently started our new equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) committee. This committee involves several active students, and we are hoping to increase engagement for all members. We are also working collaboratively with Michael Kelley, PhD, the incoming editor of Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice, a multidisciplinary journal published by APA.

What’s something you want people to know about your division?

We would like to continue improving our collaboration with other divisions and other areas of psychology with similar interests in behavioral health and EDI.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

I have several very fond memories of visiting my maternal grandparents’ house. Those weekend visits typically included baked goods (my grandmother’s chocolate chip cookies and caramel cinnamon rolls were my favorite), games of croquet in the backyard, and playing at the nearby park.
