Submitting content updates

Email content updates to SPMCWebUpdates@apa.org

Subject line

The email’s subject line should include the division number and type of update. Example: Division 30: leadership update.

Include URL and Word document with track changes

When submitting requests, please provide a Microsoft Word track changes document with the URL of the page to be updated, page copy, and any related links and images. For more information on creating the document, see example: How to Create a Microsoft Word Track Changes Document (PDF, 888 KB)opens in new window.

  • If changes are minor, it is fine to list them in an email, with descriptions or context of exactly where on the page they should go. For more information, see website updates.

When our team gets a request

  1. A confirmation email will be sent to let you know that we have received the request and have created a production ticket that is now in progress.
  2. A resolution email will be sent when the requested updates are complete and live. Please reply to this email if you spot any errors in the new/updated content.

However;

  • Please do not reply to a resolved email with new updates. To resolve your updates efficiently and thoroughly, we ask that you create a new email submission for each update request.
  • Updates to existing content have a timeline of 5 business days after the production ticket confirmation email is sent.
