Division 56 reinvigorates its webinar series

Monthly offerings address trauma, equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, social justice, and intersectionality.

Many of the Division 56: Trauma Psychology webinars feature early career psychologists from marginalized and minoritized communities and include the latest research advances and best practices on trauma and healing in individuals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) backgrounds. Some of the meetings in 2025 include “Intersecting Trauma and Minority Stress Burden on LGBTQ+ Individuals: Theory, Assessment, and Treatment” from Nicholas Livingston, PhD, from Boston University; “Cultural Interventions Addressing Historical Trauma for Black Americans” by Dr. Obari Cartman from Healing, Empowering, and Learning Professions, LLC; and “American Indian and Alaskan Native Peoples: Traumas, Substance Misuse, and Cultural Humility” by Maria Crouch, PhD from Yale University. All are available on the division websiteopens in new window, and for a small fee, participants can receive continuing education credit.
