State, Provincial or Territorial Psychological Association

APA’s Council of Representatives is comprised of Representatives of Divisions; Representatives of State, Provincial and Territorial Psychological Associations (SPTAs); Representatives of Ethnic Minority Psychological Associations (EMPAs) and members of the Board of Directors. Each of the EMPAs is invited to have one seat on Council. The number of representatives each division and SPTA will have on council each year is based on the number of votes each constituency receives through the APA Apportionment Ballot. Currently each division and SPTA has at least one seat on council.
