She has worked extensively with the military to enhance selection and placement of soldiers and to develop performance criteria for current military jobs. Knapp has led projects to enhance training and performance measures for Girl Scouts of American and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Her leadership and service demonstrate her integrity, as she focused on illuminating the complex ethical concerns of organizational psychologists, serving on APA Council, and leading the Policy and Planning Board. As chair of the Policy and Planning Board, she led a thoughtful self-assessment of the board’s functioning and oversaw the process for all boards and committees. Knapp has brought her clear insight, rigorous data-driven approach, and steadfast integrity to psychology, APA, and the world. Because of the quality of her work, our world is safer and our field is more sound.
