Eva Feindler, PhD, is presented with this Presidential Citation for her dedication and vision related to extending professional relationships built during the APA 2019 International Learning Partner Program (ILPP) to Tanzania.
Feindler met weekly with colleagues in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania during 2020 to develop a framework for training psychologists to gain and appreciate a deep global awareness of the field. She engaged her doctoral trainees at Long Island University (LIU) in a partnership with leadership from the Tanzanian Psychological Association (TAPA) from 2020–24 in mutually beneficial clinical and scientific endeavors aimed at advancing cultural understanding between psychologists in the U.S. and Tanzania as well as broadening training for LIU and TAPA.
Feindler obtained grant funding to include current and former psychology students in the APA 2024 ILPP to meet their Tanzanian colleagues personally as a celebration of their shared work.
For her innovative, persistent, and impactful leadership and teamwork strengthening global psychology, this Presidential Citation is awarded to Eva Feindler.
