Julie M. Koch, PhD, was awarded a Presidential Citation for her dedication to the professional development and training of future psychologists.
An early career psychologist and assistant professor, Julie M. Koch, PhD, has taken on major training responsibilities at an unusually early stage of her career. She serves as training director of the APA-accredited counseling psychology doctoral program at Oklahoma State University. In 2013, she was elected to serve a three-year term on the Council of Counseling Psychology Training Programs’ (CCPTP) executive board, where she will soon become communications chair. Her passion for training can be seen in the support she provides students and colleagues, her insights about issues facing psychology, her passion for advancing diversity and justice, and her accomplishments for CCPTP. She has done all of this in addition to her teaching, research and clinical service responsibilities. Koch’s excellence was recognized as one of the top 99 counseling, psychology and therapy professors in 2013.
