Linda Knauss, PhD, was awarded a Presidential Citation for her dedication to strong ethical practices, mentoring and governance service.
Knauss, as chair of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA) Ethics Committee, vice-chair of the APA Ethics Committee, co-chair of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists' Ethics Committee; and member of the American Board of Professional Psychology Ethics Committee, has dedicated her career to ethical practices among psychologists. Knauss taught ethics courses at Widener University, in Chester, Pa., Immaculata University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as teaching numerous continuing education workshops. She has authored several book chapters and journal articles on ethics. Knauss is past-president of PPA, the Pennsylvania Psychological Foundation and the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. She serves in the APA Council of Representatives and was a member of the APA Committee on Accreditation. Knauss received the 2002 Ethics Educators Award presented by the PPA Ethics Committee and the 2004 PPA Distinguished Service Award. Knauss is known for her passion and devotion to ensuring that every student, professor and practitioner understands ethical principles and their application.
