Terri Morrissey, MBA, was awarded a 2022 Presidential Citation in recognition of her leadership in advancing global psychology.
Morrissey co-facilitated the first International Summit on Psychology and Global Health: A Leader in Climate Action in 2019 and has continued to play a leadership role in the Global Psychology Alliance (GPA) since that event. She has provided meaningful, effective support to advance the work of the Alliance, writing updates and summary reports, actively contributing to meetings, and creating and implementing strategic plans for global psychology. She will reprise her facilitatory role at the 2022 International Summit on Psychology and Global Health: Leadership for Emerging Challenges in Bogota, Colombia.
Morrissey has paid particular attention to climate change. Notably, she was part of the GPA delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, where she educated global decision-makers on the value of psychological science in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
