On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Committee on Women in Psychology (CWP), for service to the American Psychological Association, to the profession, and to ALL women, the CWP is awarded a Presidential Citation.
Since its establishment as a full committee in 1973, CWP has held true to its mission to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion for ALL women within psychology and society, both nationally and internationally.
For over five decades, CWP has championed human rights for ALL women and girls, continually strategizing, collaborating, and advocating for policies to eliminate sexism, bias, and discrimination, and to ensure safety, health and well-being, and bodily autonomy for all.
CWP continues to be a catalyst for breaking barriers toward a more inclusive psychology and an incubator for developing generations of women leaders …and there are many more to come.
In recognition of the courage, commitment, and perseverance of all its members and staff, we honor the momentous contributions of the Committee on Women in Psychology. Happy Anniversary CWP - 50 Years Strong!
