Managing Stress as Psychology Students
Early adulthood comes with significant stresses, including managing school, work, life, relationships, and identity. APA’s Stress in America survey (2023) finds that over one-third of young adults between ages 18–23 said that their mental health was worse now compared to the same time last year—a higher number than any other age group. In partnership with Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, APA’s Graduate Student Committee (APAGS) has designed a webinar to enhance psychology students’ success by managing stress, including understanding the psychological science of stress and stress management, navigating academic/professional-based stressors, and handling personal/life stressors.
