To address the concerns and questions submitted in the last round of public comment, CoA is currently developing Implementing Regulations (IRs) to address four topics:
- Discipline-specific knowledge.
- Profession-wide competencies.
- Direct observation.
- Site visitor selection.
These topics will clarify processes and procedures outlined in the Accreditation Operating Procedures (AOP) and the Standards of Accreditation (SoA). Once drafted, these IRs will go out for public comment. CoA will review any comment received in light of these new IRs and adjust the language as appropriate. These new IRs will accompany the AOP and SoA.
