Consistent with Domain H.2 of the Guidelines and Principles for Accreditationopens in new window (PDF, 131KB) and Implementing Regulation C-19, all accredited programs are reminded to notify the Commission on Accreditation of changes that could affect the quality of training and education. With the provision of additional funds, such as those provided by the APA Board of Educational Affairs or the Office of Veterans Affairs, to accredited internships, it is especially important for these programs to notify the CoA in order to ensure that the addition of new positions, new rotations or different learning experiences meets the standards of the profession for continued accreditation. Programs are also reminded to notify the commission when there is a change in the program’s training director, and provide the contact information (including the email address) for that individual. If the new director was not previously involved with the program, his/her curriculum vitae must also be provided for the program’s records. Please contact the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation if you have any questions regarding programmatic changes.
