CoA held its summer program review meeting Oct. 22-25, 2015, in Washington, D.C. During this meeting, CoA reviewed 64 programs for either initial or continued accreditation, voting to accredit 19 new programs (one doctoral program, 17 internship programs and one postdoctoral residency program). It also approved site visits for 11 applicant programs. Decisions made at the meeting are available on the Office of Program Consultation website. Complete listings of accredited and applicant programs were updated on Nov. 24, 2015, to reflect the actions taken at the October meeting.
In early 2015, CoA began to pilot a system, the CoA Portal, that enables accredited programs, site visitors and the commission to conduct written components of the periodic review process online. At the October program review meeting, the first program successfully completed the process. Moving forward the written components of periodic review for all programs will be completed online through the CoA Portal. To assist programs with navigating the CoA Portal and submission of an online self-study, CoA has created a series of online tutorials.
